Bookend rubber dam, also named as spine type rubber dam, has obvious fins on the dam body to form a rising angle when the dam is inflated. It is made of high strength canvas as the reinforced framework and synthetic rubber fixed to a reinforced concrete foundation using clamping plates and anchor bolts. In dry seasons, the rubber dam is inflated by air or water to retain water for industrial, agricultural and living water demands; in rainy seasons, the air or water in the sealed bag can be deflated out to release floodwater from river course. Bookend rubber dam heightens overflow's water head and eliminates vacuum underneath the dam to reduce the vibration and abrasion.The book-spine rubber dam is an improved rubber dam with a "book-spine-shaped" cross-section. Its core advantages include structural safety, vibration resistance, durability, and strong landscape appeal. It is suitable for water conservancy projects that require both dam stability and ecological landscape, with application scenarios covering river regulation, municipal landscapes, irrigation area projects, and more. It is usually used to retain water, agricultural irrigation, generate electricity, control flood, beautify environment, etc.

* More secure structure and longer service life
  The dam bag adopts an integrally vulcanized molding process, eliminating the lap joints of traditional rubber dams. This significantly enhances airtightness and overall integrity, preventing failures caused by joint leakage. Its typical service life is 25-30 years, approximately 10 years longer than that of traditional rubber dams.
* Vibration-resistant, wear-resistant, and with more reasonable force distribution
  The book-spine-shaped cross-section can lift the overflow at the dam crest to form a "lift angle", reducing the direct impact of water flow on the dam bag. At the same time, it avoids the formation of sealed water bodies under the dam, which can reduce the vibration of the dam bag by more than 50%, significantly reducing wear and tear. It is particularly suitable for rivers with multiple overflow conditions.
* Complete dam collapse and convenient maintenance
  After the collapse of traditional rubber dams, residual water or air tends to remain, forming "pipe-shaped" water pockets that are susceptible to dirt accumulation and subsequent scratching of the dam bag. In contrast, the book-spine dam can lie entirely flat against the riverbed, eliminating water retention issues and lowering the difficulty of daily cleaning and maintenance.
* Flexible medium options and year-round applicability
  It can be filled with either water or air, breaking the limitation of traditional rubber dams that only use water as the filling medium. When operated with air inflation in winter, the air medium does not freeze, avoiding the risk of freezing cracks in water-filled dams, making it suitable for stable year-round use in cold regions.
* Balances landscape appeal and cost-effectiveness
  Slots can be cut at the book-spine section, creating a uniform waterfall during overflow. When paired with colored dam bags, this enhances the landscape effect. It adopts a single anchoring design, with the number of anchoring parts being only half that of traditional dams. This eliminates the need for accessories such as base gaskets, reducing construction costs by approximately 20% and shortening the installation period by 30%.
